Child Safety Standards

Effective October 13, 2026 · Version 2026-10-13

1. Our commitment

These Child Safety Standards apply to the Mukha Chitram app (Android and iOS, package com.mukhachitram.app), the website https://mukhachitram.com, and every account, profile, photo, video, and message on them.

Mukha Chitram has zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) and child sexual abuse material (CSAM). We prohibit it everywhere on our service, we remove it as soon as we find it, and we report it to the authorities.

2. What is strictly prohibited

The following are strictly prohibited on Mukha Chitram. Any one of them leads to immediate removal, a permanent ban, and a report to law enforcement:

  • Child sexual abuse material (CSAM) — any photo, video, drawing, AI-generated or edited image, or text that shows or describes a minor (anyone under 18) in a sexual way
  • Sexualising minors — sexual comments, poses, costumes, captions, or requests involving a child, including in casting or audition requests
  • Grooming — building trust with a child, or with their parent or guardian, in order to sexually abuse or exploit the child
  • Sextortion — threatening or pressuring a child to share intimate images, money, or sexual acts
  • Child trafficking — recruiting, moving, or offering a child for sexual or labour exploitation, including through fake auditions or fake casting
  • Soliciting a minor — asking a child for sexual content, meetings, or private contact for any sexual or exploitative purpose
  • Sharing, linking to, buying, selling, or asking for CSAM, or sharing where to find it
  • Any other content or conduct that sexually exploits, abuses, or endangers children

3. How we protect child artists

Child talent from age 2 can be listed on Mukha Chitram for film work. To keep them safe:

  • Parent or guardian required — a profile for anyone under 18 is created by a parent or legal guardian, who gives their name, phone number, and consent
  • Separate staff review — every under-18 profile goes to a separate staff review queue and is not shown to anyone until staff approve it
  • No direct messages — artists, technicians, and producers never message each other directly. Every message passes through the Mukha Chitram team first, and nothing reaches a child's account without staff approval
  • Private details stay private — date of birth, phone number, and email are never shown to other users
  • Photo and video checks — every photo and video is checked before a profile goes live. Sexual or suggestive content involving a minor is never approved
  • Producer accounts are 18+ only — minors cannot create producer (User) accounts

4. How to report

If you see anything that may put a child at risk, report it right away:

  • In the app — open the profile, tap the menu, choose Report this profile, then choose Underage or Inappropriate content. You can also block the account at the same time
  • Email — mukhachitram.app@gmail.com (subject: "Child Safety")
  • Phone or WhatsApp — +91 99856 46789

If a child is in immediate danger, call 112 (India emergency) or 1098 (CHILDLINE India) first. You can also report CSAM directly to the National Cyber Crime Reporting Portal at cybercrime.gov.in.

5. What we do when we find CSAE

When we find or receive a report of CSAE or CSAM, we:

  • Remove the content and take the profile off Mukha Chitram immediately
  • Permanently ban the accounts involved
  • Keep the evidence securely, only as long as the law requires, so the police can act
  • Report it to the authorities — in India, through the National Cyber Crime Reporting Portal and the police, as required by the POCSO Act, 2012 and the Information Technology Act, 2000 — and to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) where applicable
  • Cooperate fully with law enforcement requests

Child safety reports are treated as our highest priority.

6. Laws we follow

Mukha Chitram complies with all applicable child safety laws, including:

  • The Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act, 2012
  • The Information Technology Act, 2000 (including Section 67B) and the IT (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021
  • The Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023
  • The Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, including verifiable parental consent for children's data
