Terms of Service

In these Terms:

• Artist means a user who creates a portfolio profile that may become discoverable only after staff approval and payment.
• Producer means a user who browses LIVE artist profiles and may initiate interest via the staff-mediated relay. Producers are never listed or visible to artists.
• Staff means Mukha Chitram managers and admins who review profiles and broker relay messages.
• User, you, or your means any person or entity that accesses or uses the Service, including guests.
• Content means text, images, audio, video, links, messages, profile information, and other material submitted to or transmitted through the Service.
• Relay means the messaging system in which artists and producers never exchange messages directly; staff review and may release, edit, or block every consumer message before it reaches the other leg.
• Portfolio / listing plan means a paid one-time tier that unlocks listing or portfolio features after approval (for example image uploads, or images plus videos).
• LIVE means an artist profile that has passed staff approval and server-verified payment and is eligible to appear in discovery.

Mukha Chitram is an admin-mediated technology platform for the film and performing-arts industry. We help artists present portfolios and help producers discover LIVE talent. Every meaningful interaction between artists and producers is brokered by our staff. Artists and producers do not message each other directly inside the Service.

We provide tools for: guest and signed-in discovery of LIVE profiles; artist onboarding and staff review; one-time payment after approval; private likes/saves; staff-mediated relay messaging; reports; and related account features.

We are a platform / intermediary only. Mukha Chitram does not:

• Employ, represent, or manage artists
• Act as a casting agency, talent agent, recruitment agency, or production company under Indian or other law
• Guarantee auditions, callbacks, roles, contracts, introductions, or income
• Control or supervise off-platform meetings, auditions, negotiations, payments between users, or employment
• Endorse the accuracy of every credit, credential, or claim on a user profile
• Guarantee that any relay message will be released, or that staff will introduce parties offline

Any professional arrangement formed with help from Mukha Chitram staff outside the app is solely between the parties involved. You are responsible for your own due diligence, including verifying identity, credentials, and contract terms before entering into any engagement.

To the extent Mukha Chitram hosts user Content, we act as an intermediary under the Information Technology Act, 2000, subject to applicable due-diligence obligations.

You must be at least 18 years of age, or the age of majority in your jurisdiction if higher, to register as a producer or as an adult artist and to use paid features.

Where under-18 artist submissions are permitted, a parent or legal guardian must provide required consent documentation, and the profile is subject to a separate review queue. Guardians are responsible for the under-18 artist's use of the Service. Producer accounts are not available to minors.

By using the Service, you represent and warrant that:

• You meet the applicable age and consent requirements
• You have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms
• You are not barred from using the Service under applicable law
• All registration and profile information you provide is truthful, current, and complete
• You will keep your information accurate and up to date
• You have all rights, licenses, and permissions needed for Content you upload

The Service is intended primarily for users interested in professional performing-arts opportunities in India and related markets. We may refuse, suspend, or terminate access where we reasonably believe eligibility requirements are not met.

Consumer sign-in uses mobile phone number + one-time password (OTP) only. There is no consumer password, email login, or social login for the mobile app. Staff use a separate admin web app with their own credentials and never authenticate through the consumer mobile app.

Role is permanent. At signup you choose Artist or Producer. An account is exactly one role. Changing actor type requires an admin action and is not a self-serve feature.

You are responsible for:

• All activity that occurs under your account
• Maintaining the security of your device and phone number
• Promptly notifying us at support@mukhachitram.com if you suspect unauthorized access or account compromise

You may not share, sell, transfer, or allow others to use your account. You may delete your account at any time from Settings → Delete account in the app, subject to the retention practices described in our Privacy Policy.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that appear inactive, fraudulent, duplicated, or in violation of these Terms.

Artists may create profiles, upload portfolio media, submit for staff review, pay a one-time fee after approval to become LIVE, receive relay messages presented as from the Mukha Chitram Team, reply in those threads, like/save other LIVE profiles, and browse discovery. Artists cannot initiate conversations with producers.

Producers may browse LIVE profiles (including as guests for public pages), like/save privately, and send messages into the relay for staff review. Producers are never listed, searchable, or revealed to artists by the product. Producers do not pay for core browsing.

Guests may browse discovery and public LIVE profiles without an account. Any action that requires identity (like, save, message, onboard) requires sign-in.

Misrepresenting your role, impersonating another person, creating multiple accounts to evade restrictions, or attempting to extract contact details around the relay is prohibited.

We may limit features by role, region, listing status, rate limits, verification status, or plan tier. Feature availability may change as the product evolves.

Artist profiles follow a staff-controlled lifecycle. Discovery shows only LIVE profiles.

Typical path:

• You complete required fields and submit (DRAFT → PENDING_REVIEW)
• Staff may approve, reject (with reason), or edit fields before approval
• On approval, the profile becomes APPROVED_UNPAID and a payment window (currently seven days, as shown in-app) begins
• After server-verified payment capture, the profile becomes LIVE
• If the window expires unpaid, the profile may LAPSE; re-entry requires resubmission and a new review
• Rejection does not charge money because payment occurs only after approval
• Resubmission after rejection is allowed

Edits to a LIVE profile. Certain fields (for example display name, bio, media, gender, date of birth) are moderated: your live copy stays up while a revision awaits staff approval. Other structured fields (for example city, skills, languages, availability) may update immediately.

Verification or LIVE status does not guarantee identity, talent, availability, background, safety, or suitability for any role. You should not rely on listing status as a substitute for your own checks.

We may suspend profiles, hide listings, request documentation, or remove Content at our discretion for policy, safety, legal, or quality reasons.

You retain ownership of Content you submit, subject to the rights you grant below.

By submitting Content to the Service, you grant Mukha Chitram a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, sublicensable license to host, store, reproduce, adapt, display, perform, distribute, and otherwise use your Content solely to operate, improve, promote, and secure the Service. This includes displaying your portfolio to other users when LIVE, generating thumbnails or previews, enabling staff review and relay moderation, enforcing these Terms, and complying with law.

You represent that your Content:

• Is yours or you have permission to use it
• Does not infringe any copyright, trademark, privacy, publicity, or other rights
• Does not violate any law or contractual obligation
• Does not embed phone numbers, emails, social handles, UPI IDs, or other contact details in free text or images for the purpose of bypassing the relay

We may remove, restrict, redact, or refuse to display Content at any time, with or without notice, if we believe it violates these Terms, creates risk, or is otherwise objectionable.

You agree to use the Service lawfully, respectfully, and in good faith. You must not:

• Harass, threaten, abuse, exploit, stalk, or discriminate against any person
• Post or send sexually explicit, violent, hateful, defamatory, or illegal Content
• Impersonate any person or misstate your identity, credits, agency affiliation, or authority
• Solicit money, fees, intimate images, or unrelated services from other users through or around the Service
• Use the Service for romance scams, fraud, phishing, or unauthorized commercial spam
• Upload malware, attempt to hack, scrape, reverse engineer, or bypass security, rate limits, or moderation
• Collect user data without consent or use automated tools to access the Service without permission
• Circumvent the relay, payment window, paywalls, listing status, or account restrictions — including by putting contact details in photos, bios, or messages to force off-platform contact without staff
• Attempt to discover producer identity as an artist, or artist private contact details as a producer, except through staff-released messages
• Use the Service in a way that could harm minors or expose minors to inappropriate content
• Violate any applicable law, including laws relating to casting, labour, obscenity, data protection, or intellectual property

We may investigate violations, remove Content, block messages, suspend or terminate accounts, preserve evidence, and report conduct to law enforcement or platform partners where appropriate.

The relay is the core communication feature of Mukha Chitram.

How it works

• Producers may start a thread about an artist profile; artists cannot initiate threads
• Every consumer message enters as PENDING and is invisible to the other leg until staff act
• Staff may RELEASE (pass through), EDIT (rewrite; other leg sees only edited text), or BLOCK (other leg never learns it existed)
• Senders are not told whether their message was released, edited, or blocked
• Artists see the conversation as with "Mukha Chitram Team" — not with the producer
• Automatic scanning may flag contact details; staff decide. There is no auto-release or auto-block solely from the scanner
• Attachments follow the same pipeline

By using messaging features, you understand and agree that:

• Staff may read, filter, delay, edit, block, or remove messages and attachments to enforce these Terms and protect users
• We do not guarantee that all harmful conduct will be detected or prevented
• We are not obligated to mediate disputes between users or to complete any introduction offline
• If a deal moves offline through staff outside the app, the app may record nothing about that offline deal

Do not share passwords, OTP codes, government ID numbers, or other highly sensitive data in chat unless you accept the risk of doing so.

Mukha Chitram is designed so that artists and producers do not exchange direct contact details inside the product, except to the extent staff deliberately include information in a released message.

Once any contact occurs outside the app (including after staff facilitation):

• Further communication, meetings, auditions, contracts, and payments are at your own risk and discretion
• Mukha Chitram is not a party to those arrangements and is not responsible for off-platform conduct, safety, payment disputes between users, or employment outcomes
• You should take reasonable precautions when meeting or working with people introduced through the industry

Never feel obligated to share personal contact information. Report abuse using in-app report tools or support@mukhachitram.com.

Some artist features require payment. Prices, features, and limits are shown in the app before purchase and may change over time for new purchases.

When you are charged. Under our standard model, artists are charged a one-time fee only after staff approval, during the payment window shown in-app. Payment does not guarantee ongoing ranking, messages, or casting outcomes — it unlocks eligibility to be LIVE / to use the paid portfolio entitlements described at checkout.

Payment confirmation. The client never finally decides that a payment succeeded. Only our servers, based on verified payment-provider signals (for example Razorpay webhook signature verification or store receipt validation), may write paid / LIVE state. Any success screen in the app is optimistic UI until the server confirms.

Razorpay and similar Indian checkout — Where offered, payments may be processed by Razorpay or another payment partner. We do not store full card or UPI credentials.

Apple App Store and Google Play — Where In-App Purchase is required or used, billing and refunds follow the applicable store's terms and refund policies.

Refunds. Because money is taken only from approved profiles under our standard model, there is no automatic refund path. Refunds are admin-initiated, manual, and audit-logged, and are granted only where required by law or expressly approved by us. Email support@mukhachitram.com to request a review. Unless required by law, fees are non-refundable once digital features have been unlocked or the listing has gone LIVE.

Lapse. If you do not pay within the payment window, approval may become void and the profile may LAPSE. Re-entry may require a new submission and review.

Paid features do not guarantee visibility volume, relay interest, verification outcomes beyond the stated unlock, casting opportunities, or earnings.

The Service, including our name, logo, software, design, text, graphics, and branding, is owned by Mukha Chitram or our licensors and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

Except for the limited right to use the Service under these Terms, no license or ownership rights are granted to you. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or create derivative works from any part of the Service without our prior written consent.

We respect intellectual property rights. If you believe Content on the Service infringes your copyright or other rights, email support@mukhachitram.com or grievance@mukhachitram.com with:

• Identification of the work claimed to be infringed
• Identification of the material on the Service and enough information for us to locate it
• Your contact information
• A statement of good-faith belief that use is unauthorized
• A statement, under penalty of perjury where applicable, that your notice is accurate and you are authorized to act

We may remove reported Content and terminate repeat infringers where appropriate, consistent with applicable law and intermediary due-diligence obligations.

The Service may integrate with or link to third-party services such as Supabase, Razorpay, Apple, Google, Sentry, Expo, SMS providers, or external websites and social profiles added by users.

We do not control and are not responsible for third-party services, their terms, privacy practices, availability, or content. Your use of third-party services is at your own risk and subject to their terms.

Our Privacy Policy at mukhachitram.com/privacy explains how we collect, use, share, and protect personal information — including staff access to private fields, asymmetric visibility, and anonymous interest signals. By using the Service, you also agree to the Privacy Policy.

You may stop using the Service at any time and may delete your account in-app.

We may suspend, restrict, or terminate your access immediately, with or without notice, if we reasonably believe you:

• Violated these Terms or our policies
• Created risk, legal exposure, or harm to other users or Mukha Chitram
• Attempted to misuse the Service, flood the relay, or evade enforcement

A suspended producer may still be able to browse while messaging remains unreleasable. A suspended artist profile is hidden from discovery; the artist may see a reason where we provide one.

Upon termination, your right to use the Service ends. Sections that by nature should survive — including ownership, disclaimers, liability limits, indemnity, and governing law — will continue to apply.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS.

MUKHA CHITRAM DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, SECURE, OR FREE OF HARMFUL CONTENT; THAT ANY USER IS TRUSTWORTHY OR QUALIFIED; THAT STAFF WILL RELEASE ANY PARTICULAR MESSAGE; OR THAT ANY CASTING OR BUSINESS OUTCOME WILL RESULT FROM USE OF THE SERVICE.

NOTHING IN THESE TERMS EXCLUDES LIABILITY THAT CANNOT BE EXCLUDED UNDER INDIAN LAW, INCLUDING UNDER THE CONSUMER PROTECTION ACT, 2019 WHERE IT APPLIES.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, MUKHA CHITRAM AND ITS OWNERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, CONTRACTORS, AND AFFILIATES WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, GOODWILL, REPUTATION, OR BUSINESS OPPORTUNITY, ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO THE SERVICE OR THESE TERMS — INCLUDING OFF-PLATFORM CONDUCT BETWEEN USERS.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THE SERVICE OR THESE TERMS SHALL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO MUKHA CHITRAM FOR THE SERVICE IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS BEFORE THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM, OR (B) INR 5,000.

Some mandatory consumer protections cannot be waived. In those cases, our liability will be limited to the fullest extent permitted by law.

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Mukha Chitram and its owners, directors, employees, contractors, and affiliates from and against any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or related to:

• Your use of the Service
• Your Content or conduct
• Your violation of these Terms or applicable law
• Your interactions with other users, including off-platform conduct
• Any dispute between you and another user or third party regarding casting, payment, or employment

We may assume exclusive defense and control of any matter subject to indemnification by you, and you agree to cooperate with our defense.

These Terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict-of-law principles that would require another jurisdiction's laws.

Subject to mandatory consumer protection rights, you agree that the courts located in Hyderabad, Telangana, India shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute, claim, or proceeding arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service.

Before filing a formal claim, we encourage you to contact us at support@mukhachitram.com or grievance@mukhachitram.com so we can try to resolve the issue informally.

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will post the revised version at mukhachitram.com/terms and update the effective date / version.

If changes are material, we may also provide notice through the app, website, or other reasonable means. Your continued use of the Service after the updated Terms become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms, except where applicable law requires a different form of consent. If you do not agree, you must stop using the Service and may delete your account.

Entire agreement — These Terms and the Privacy Policy are the entire agreement between you and Mukha Chitram regarding the Service. References to "Terms of Use" or "Terms & Conditions" mean these same Terms.

Severability — If any provision is held invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect.

No waiver — Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of our right to do so later.

Assignment — You may not assign these Terms without our consent. We may assign these Terms in connection with a merger, acquisition, reorganization, or sale of assets.

Force majeure — We are not liable for delays or failures caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including network outages, natural disasters, government actions, or third-party service failures.

Language — These Terms are written in English. Any translated version is provided for convenience only; the English version controls in case of conflict.
